A movie which beautifully celebrates love , friendship, dreams and binds them together is very rare to find. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani directed by the talented Ayan Mukherjee has Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.
The film begins with a flashback where Naina(Deepika Padukone) remembers about the best time she spent with her friends on the Manali vacation and of Bunny(Ranbir Kapoor). Kabir Thapar aka Bunny(Ranbir Kapoor) , Avi(Aditya Roy Kapur) and Aditi(Kalki Koechlin) are best friends from school and they decide to go on a trek to Manali. Naina was always an excellent student who did not know anything apart from studies . Fed up with her life she decides impromptly that she will join her friends in the trip. The trip completely changes her life. She learns to love herself and she falls in love with Bunny. Bunny has always dreamed of becoming a travel cinematographer and he just wants to follow his dreams whatsoever. Bunny's dialogue "Main udna chahta hoon Naina, daudna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon bas rukna nahi chahta" was really evident of the fact that how much he was in love with his dreams. Naina completely understood that her confessing her love to Bunny will stop him from achieving his dreams. So she decides not to confess. The story weaves beautifully between friendship and love. The dialogues are beautifully written which suites the situation very well. Kabir goes to America to pursue his dreams. A void is created between them until Aditi decides to get married to Taran(Kunal Roy Kapur) . The reunion between the friends reveals a lot of their changed personality and mixed ideologies. Love blooms between Naina and Bunny but Naina tells Bunny that his dreams are really important and their worlds are a lot different and they cant be together. Hearing this Bunny leaves to Paris for hus dream job. But then  he realises that everything in life has a time. The message depicted in the film is inevitable and Ayan Mukherjee really did a great job. Somethings in life you cannot let go. Everything will come to you when the actual time will come. Bunny refuses for the job in Paris and he comes back to Naina as he is also in love with her and wants to travel the world with her. The locations of shoot are really extravagant. The beauty of Manali, Udaipur and the other foreign locations have been pictured perfectly. The film has some amazing songs which fit perfectly with the scenario. The dialogues like "Tum jitna bhi try karo life mein kuch na kuch toh chhute ga hi. Toh jahan hai wahi ka maza lete hai" has some real impact on our lives. It is a movie which is hugely relatable to a lot of people. The ending scene shows the fout friends welcoming the new year form different places over the phone which signifies that everything starts afresh after a hard time and Naina and Bunny reunite. All the actors did a wonderful job. Ranbir and Deepika where class apart and so where Kalki and Aditya.  Rana Daggubati and Kunal Roy Kapur also did a perfect justice to their roles. Each and everyone did their part perfectly creating a perfect masterpiece where they celebrate LIFE.
This movie is a must watch. A rollercoaster ride of emotions will not let you down even for a single moment.
